Donald Trump will make a "major" announcement in New York City on June 16 and follow that with a visit to New Hampshire — which hosts the nation's first primary — the next day.

Trump, a Republican, has been mulling a presidential run. According to WMUR TV, in Manchester, New Hampshire, the business titan will make his announcement at New York City's Trump Tower on June 16.

WMUR, an ABC affiliate, did not have confirmation that Trump's announcement will address his potential candidacy, but it quoted a source saying the real estate mogul will have a "major" announcement soon.

Last month, Trump told WMUR he is "very much inclined" to join the presidential race.

Recently, the real estate mogul has been vigorously pointing out the weaknesses of his potential GOP rivals.

Trump has also set up a presidential exploratory committee that is laying the groundwork for a potential campaign, and has staffers working for him in New Hampshire, Iowa, and South Carolina.

Trump thought about running in the 2012 election but never did. Last fall, however, he told Newsmax TV he is taking a "serious look" at tossing his hat into the 2016 ring.

Trump has repeatedly bashed President Barack Obama on several fronts, including the pending deal with Iran. Trump has also taken aim at some of his fellow Republicans who are either running or expected to run for president.

Trump has spent months teasing about what could be a White House run. This week, he said he knows how to defeat the Islamic State (ISIS) terror group — but isn't telling anyone about it yet.

"I don't want the enemy to know what I'm doing," Trump said. "Unfortunately, I'll probably have to tell at some point, but there is a method of defeating them quickly and effectively and having total victory."
