A bestselling book about White House chief strategist Steve Bannon is reportedly being made into a television series.
According to Deadline, "Devil's Bargain: Steve Bannon, Donald Trump, and the Storming of the Presidency," will be developed by Blumhouse Television – the same company that acquired rights to a limited series on former chairman and CEO of Fox News, the late Roger Ailes.
"Devil's Bargain" author Joshua Green, the senior national correspondent at Bloomberg Businessweek, will be involved in the development of the project that will tell the inside story of the partnership between Bannon and Trump that led to the 2016 election upset, Deadline reported.
The book was released July 18 and was at the top of The New York Times bestsellers list last week, Deadline reported.
Bannon was named chief executive of Trump's campaign in August 2016, replacing Paul Manafort – and along with then-campaign manager Kellyanne Conway was largely credited with turning the Trump presidential campaign around.
After his election victory, President Donald Trump named Bannon his White House chief strategist.
A premiere date for the series, its stars, or where it will air is not known yet. A possible landing place is Showtime, which purchased the rights to the Ailes series, The Hill reported.
