El Salvador is following Mexico's lead, and giving illegal immigrants in the United States tips on how to avoid deportation, The Daily Caller reported.

Salvadoran Foreign Minister Hugo Martinez laid out the advice in an interview with ElSalvador.com, noting the advice of activist Jorge Mendez: It's not necessary for illegal immigrants to have documents from their country of origin, and they can just use a photo library card, The Daily Caller reported.

According to the report, Martinez also advised illegal immigrants prepare an "emergency plan" in case Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers show up – and they should demand ICE officers have a warrant.

Martinez also told the outlet El Salvador began a program with $500,000 funding to help deported illegal immigrants adjust to life back home. Over 4,000 El Salvadorans have been deported since the start of the year, The Daily Caller reported.

A group of Mexican officials are holding a meeting in Chicago on Friday and Saturday to discuss ways to protect illegal aliens, according to The Daily Caller.
