Republican voters in seven key states are turning out in higher numbers than Democrats for early midterms voting, according to a new analysis.

NBC News looked at the data and discovered that in eight crucial states — Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Montana, Nevada, Tennessee, and Texas — Republicans have a higher turnout in all of them except for Nevada.

Other key figures NBC uncovered:

  • More women than men have cast early votes in six of the abovementioned states. Men are leading the way in Nevada, while Arizona is split.
  • In four of the states — Florida, Georgia, Indiana, and Tennessee — more suburban voters have cast their vote than urban and rural voters.
  • More than 5 million votes, broken down between absentee ballots and in-person voting, have been cast.

Republicans currently control the House and Senate and Democrats are trying to take over both chambers. Analysts believe the GOP will be able to maintain the Senate, but with all 435 House seats up for grabs, that chamber is more challenging to predict.

President Donald Trump held a rally with Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, Monday night as Cruz campaigns to defeat his Democratic challenger, Rep. Beto O'Rourke, in two weeks.
