Delta Airlines is refuting a claim of a YouTube star and prankster who charged he was booted from a London-to-New York flight because he spoke Arabic to his mother.
Adam Saleh, who has more than 1.6 million YouTube subscribers, posted his video of the commotion on Twitter, claiming passengers complained of feeling "uncomfortable" after hearing him speak in Arabic.
His video has been retweeted more than 600,000 times.
But Delta said Wednesday its investigation came to a different conclusion.
"Upon landing the crew was debriefed and multiple passenger statements collected," the airline said in a statement, LawNewz.com reported.
"Based on the information collected to date, it appears the customers who were removed sought to disrupt the cabin with provocative behavior, including shouting. This type of conduct is not welcome on any Delta flight."
"What is paramount to Delta is the safety and comfort of our passengers and employees," the airlines added. "It is clear these individuals sought to violate that priority."
Mediaite reported Saleh has a history of making YouTube videos about fake anti-Muslim racial profiling incidents and prank videos.
And former CNN host Soledad O'Brien also tweeted about the incident, reporting she knew someone on the flight who provided background.
