Technical problems were being blamed for delays at some airport throughout the U.S. on Tuesday, WABC in New York is reporting.

According to the television station, the booking and reservation system used by some airlines did not start up on Tuesday morning.

It said video from JFK airport showed hundreds of JetBlue passengers in line waiting to check in after the system failed. The airline urged passengers to add extra time if flying out on Tuesday.

"Systems are recovering after a global Sabre outage impacting multiple airlines,” JetBlue said in a statement to PIX11 television. “JetBlue customers may experience longer lines in some airports this morning."
