Rep. Dan Kildee, D-Mich., said Monday that his party will “agonize over” whether to impeach President Donald Trump following the release of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report.

“We have to make a judgment as to what’s best for the American people. I have been really disturbed by what I have read in the Mueller report, particularly the interactions between the president and his council Don McGahn,” Kildee, who is the chief deputy whip, said on CNN’s “New Day” show.

Although Mueller’s report did not conclude that Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election, it did detail several instances in which the president attempted to interfere in the investigation.

“We’re going to have to make a hard call on this, you know the easy ones are where we know there will be blowback, but there’s no question on what we should do. We have to carve a path knowing there will be some competing interests here,” he added.

“I’ve got to tell you; this is one we’re going to agonize over. This president — the look that we’ve had into this presidency through this report is frightening,” he said.
