President Donald Trump hears "covfefe."
The White House had some fun Thursday with the president's infamous Twitter flub — while rounding up West Wing opinion on an audio clip that has hijacked the Internet.
In the light-hearted video, staffers are asked if they hear "Laurel" in the audio clip, or if they hear "Yanny."
The White House tally was posted on an Instagram and Twitter video.
Senior aide and first daughter Ivanka Trump, White House counselor Kellyanne Conway and White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders were among those taking part in the video. But Sanders and Conway poked fun at their public images along the way.
"It's Laurel," Conway said, "but I could deflect and defer to Yanny if you need me to."
"Sarah it's been reported that you hear Laurel, how do you respond?" an off-camera voice asks Sanders.
"Clearly you're getting your information from CNN because that's fake news – all I hear is Yanny," Sanders deadpans.
Trump had the last word: "I hear 'covfefe,'" he said.
Trump last year sent a tweet that ended with the word "covfefe," which quickly went viral before it was deleted.
Regarding the "Yanny" vs. "Laurel" debate, CBS News reported Twitter data shows 47 percent of people hear "Yanny," and 53 percent hear "Laurel."
Laurel is technically correct.
"People who are more attuned to the high frequencies are picking up on things that make it sound more like Yanny," linguist Ben Zimmer told CBS News. "If you're not picking up on those higher frequencies then it sounds more like Laurel."
