Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa said he expects special counsel Robert Mueller will issue a report on the Russia investigation within a month.
Grassley made his comments on Hugh Hewitt’s radio show on Tuesday.
Asked when he expected to see Mueller’s report, Grassley replied: “Within a month, if we see it.”
Grassley said he wants the report released to the public.
“I look at it from this standpoint,” he said. “I don’t care what the report says. We paid $25 million, maybe $35 million to do it, and the public ought to know what their $25 (million) or $35 million bought. And except for national security and privacy of individuals, those would be understandably redacted, everything else, I think, ought to be out.”
Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker said last week Mueller is close to wrapping up the investigation into Russia’s meddling in the election.
"I've been fully briefed on the investigation and I look forward to Director Mueller delivering the final report," he said.
