Blue States Oppose Cashless Trend, Fight to Save King Cash

Cities and states across the country are fighting back against the push to make the United States a cashless society, passing laws that require merchants to accept the mighty greenback.

Three states now mandate that merchants must accept cash for transactions -- Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Jersey. Legislators in Oregon and Rhode Island have introduced similar bills that would rescue king cash by requiring merchants to accept cash transactions.
