WSJ: Gates Foundation to Cut Staff, Review Epstein Ties

The Gates Foundation is cutting up to 500 jobs, or roughly 20% of its staff, over the next several years, and it ⁠has opened an external review of engagement with the ⁠late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, The Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday, citing a memo.

The organization started by Microsoft co-founder ⁠Bill Gates and his ⁠then-wife in 2000 is ⁠one ⁠of the world's biggest funders of global health initiatives. Bill Gates is the chair and board member of the foundation.
