Biden Urges Republicans Not to Shut Down Government

President Joe Biden has urged conservative lawmakers not to hurt the U.S. economy "with reckless threats of a shutdown" or spending plans that would curb taxes for the wealthy and large companies while cutting programs for families and seniors, one day after the Republican-led House of Representatives chose a new speaker.
