Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci said the news platform he is launching Monday will occupy the "center lane" of politics.

In an interview Sunday with radio host John Catsimatidis on "The Cats Roundtable," the former White House communications director said The Scaramucci Post is an answer to a society that is "very polarized.

"Our news is screeched from the right . . . and left," he said. "The center lane is wide open, What The Scaramucci Post is going to represent is a center lane."

"It's not about left or right, but what's right and wrong," he added.

The news site will be on social media to start, but eventually go online with its own website, he said.

Scaramucci's exit from the White House after 11 days came after a profanity-laced interview with New Yorker reporter Ryan Lizza, whom Scaramucci said was trying to make him look "unhinged."

"I am not shirking responsibility for the conversation; I own every word of the conversation," he said.

"The only thing I would say is that he wrote the story in a very bombastic way and tried to make me look unhinged. But, in fact, when you listen to the recording, it is a very normal conversation," conceding the language was "colorful" and "locker-room talk."
