A "Crossfire"-style show featuring Michael Avenatti, the lawyer suing President Donald Trump on behalf of porn star Stormy Daniels, and scrappy ex-White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci is reportedly getting pitched to CNN and MSNBC.
The New York Times reported television agent Jay Sures talked with executives at the cable news outlets about a program where the pair would square off.
Mediate reported that in talks to MSNBC and CNN, it was emphasized Avenatti likely could not get involved until after the case involving his adult film star wrapped up.
Scaramucci, who famously lasted just 11 days as President Donald Trump's communications director after an X-rated interview with a New Yorker writer, remains a loyalist to the president in frequent cable news appearances.
Avenatti's high-profile appearances on cable news programs have been on behalf of Daniels, who is suing the president over a nondisclosure agreement she signed to keep quiet about an alleged affair with Trump.
The Washington Free Beacon analysis found Avenatti has been on MSNBC and CNN more than 100 times since March.
"I have no interest in television right now," Avenatti told the Times. "I enjoy my law practice and look forward to prevailing on behalf of my client Stormy Daniels," he added, using the stage name of the actress, Stephanie Clifford.
Neither MSNBC nor CNN have commented.
