Judge Andrew Napolitano Thursday dismissed former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's claims that there is not anybody to return donations she received from disgraced movie producer Harvey Weinstein as not being "accurate."
"If she's talking about cash he 'bundled,' where he had a party and people came to the party and they each gave the max and handed the checks to her, there's a paper trail of all of that," the Fox News political analyst told the "Fox and Friends" program.
"If he gave money to the Democratic National Committee, there's a paper trail on that. So there certainly is a person or entity to which the money can be given back."
Clinton told CNN's Fareed Zakaria that she donates 10 percent yearly to charity, and most likely, the Weinstein donations would go toward that.
However, Napolitano asked if that means she'll give the donations to the Clinton Foundation.
Meanwhile, NBC News has come under fire for deciding to spike reporter Ronan Farrow's expose on Weinstein, and Napolitano said it's really not known why that happened.
"Who knows why they let it slip away?" he asked. "Perhaps because they can. Perhaps because they, like any media organization, like Fox, if we wanted to do this, could decide what stories we're going to run with and what stories we're not going to run with."
But then again, Weinstein is "deeply embedded in the liberal media on both the East Coast and the West Coast," said Napolitano.
NBC News has said that the story Farrow took to The New Yorker was not the same story that was presented for use on the network.
"That, we don't know, said Napolitano. "It's their call, and of course it's out there now."
He said he does, though, think there was "obviously a bias" in favor of Weinstein, both because of his involvement in the media and because of his connections to liberal causes.
