Growing concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a spike in sales of firearms of all types, as well as ammunition. A number of jurisdictions have responded by shutting down applications for gun permits and concealed carry licenses.
Wake County, North Carolina, Sheriff Gerald Baker announced Tuesday he was suspending all permits to purchase pistols through April 30.
