Several prominent leaders of pro-family groups held a closed-door meeting with President Donald Trump at the White House, Newsmax learned this afternoon.
One of the pro-family leaders, Ralph Reed, founder and head of the Faith & Freedom Coalition, spoke to Newsmax at the White House after emerging from his meeing with the president in the Oval Office.
"We spoke to him about our common concerns," Reed told us.
Other leaders in the session with Trump included Dr. Jim Dobson of Focus on the Family and Pastor Paula White of the New Destiny Christian Center in Apopka, Florida.
Even as the president is faced with impeachment charges, his strong base of support among "values voters" — notably voters who are evangelicals — has never waivered. Trump also makes it a point to hold regular meetings with leaders of this group.
