South Carolina Gov. Haley to Write Memoir

Republican Nikki Haley had a storybook rise from obscurity to win election as South Carolina’s governor last year. So it’s only fitting that she should write a memoir focusing on her campaign. She announced Tuesday that she will do so and that all proceeds with go to charity, The State newspaper of Columbia, S.C. reports

"There was a lot of requests and a lot of people who wanted to know how we got through the campaign process, the challenges we went through," Haley said. "It's therapeutic. It's a great way to get a lot of the feelings and emotions out of what the last 18 months have been. It's a great story to tell."

Haley says she has hired powerhouse Washington lawyer Robert Barnett to handle the book negotiations.
