Cantor to Obama: Give Us More Information on Libya

By    |   Friday, 25 March 2011 12:10 PM EDT

Calls continue to mount in Congress for President Barack Obama to provide more information about the strategy behind our attacks on Libya. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor said Thursday that the administration appears to be more eager to discuss the attack issues with our allies than with Congress, The Hill reports.

“Many members of Congress feel left out, that there wasn’t enough consultation with Congress prior to the commitment of forces and military action,” Cantor told reporters after an event in Richmond, Va.

“Where is the leadership, what is the end game here, where is Washington taking us?” Cantor added.

Cantor’s remarks came a day after a letter to the White House from House Speaker John Boehner upbraiding the president for failing to clearly state our goals in Libya before the attacks.
