President Barack Obama is putting too much pressure on Israel to accommodate Palestinians, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor said Wednesday after a terrorist bombing in Jerusalem,
The Hill reports.

| Rep. Eric Cantor, R-Va. |
He, like other Republicans, says the White House has asked Israel to make too many concessions to jump-start peace negotiations with the Palestinians. As a result, Palestinian militant groups have felt free to perpetrate violence against Israelis, says the only Jewish Republican in Congress.
"The administration has called on Israel to make sweeping concessions that I believe will endanger its security, but it doesn’t seem to demand similar from the Palestinians," Cantor said in a statement. "No matter how much we desire Mideast peace, it will remain a pipe dream so long as Palestinian culture makes martyrs of terrorists who target innocents."
