Bob Smith is coming out of the Florida sunshine he's been enjoying to light a fire under Newt Gingrich's GOP presidential nomination efforts in Smith's old stomping grounds,
according to Politico.com.
"I left the warm of Florida to freeze for Newt." said Smith about his efforts to help the former House Speaker get the Republican nomination and defeat President Barack Obama next November.
Smith says he has been sending emails out, drumming up support for Gingrich and he says the majority response has been strong for his old Capitol Hill friend.
