GOP senators Bob Corker and Jerry Moran say they'll be voting to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.
Corker, a Tennessee Republican said Thursday that Kavanaugh is "qualified to serve."
Corker said it took "courage" for Kavanaugh's accuser Christine Blasey Ford to appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee. But he says the testimony presented no evidence to corroborate her allegation that he sexually assaulted her when they were teens.
Corker said Kavanaugh conducted himself "as well as anyone could expect" and confirmed his plan "to vote to confirm him."
Corker is a moderate Republican senator whose vote wasn't a certainty. Kavanaugh's nomination will face a test in the Senate, which has a tight 51-49 Republican majority.
Kavanaugh resolutely denied Ford's accusation.
Moran, who represents Kansas, issued a statement Thursday to siginal his decision:
"As I stated after meeting with Judge Kavanaugh in August, he is a well-qualified nominee with a deep respect for the Constitution, and I still believe that to be true. His intellect and extensive experience in the legal field will serve the Supreme Court well. I will vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh as Justice Kavanaugh."
