The U.S. military is in place and prepared to do battle — "Fight Tonight" — on the Korean Peninsula if called upon, Fox News reported.
Citing Pentagon sources, the Fox report comes a few hours after President Donald Trump tweeted that "military solutions are … locked and loaded" should North Korea "act unwisely."
U.S. forces have been in a hasty state of preparedness since North Korea unveiled its plans to launch missiles to hit near Guam while they await the next order from leader Kim Jong Un.
Pacific Command announced Thursday night its forces on Guam were ready for #FightTonight — a longstanding motto of the 2nd Infantry Division in Korea.
However, there are just six B-1 bombers on Guam, and only half of the U.S.' 62 bombers are battle-ready after years of budget cuts, Fox News reported.
Further, there is no Navy aircraft carrier group off the Korean Peninsula right now.
