Trump Threatens to Disrupt Sanders Rallies with His Supporters

Trump said in a tweet that his supporters would go to Sanders events if the Democratic hopeful wasn't "careful."

Bernie Sanders is lying when he says his disruptors aren't told to go to my events. Be careful Bernie, or my supporters will go to yours!

But Sanders has insisted the demonstrators are not controlled by him.

"I don't think our supporters are inciting. What our supporters are doing is responding to a candidate who has, in fact, in many ways, encouraged violence," Sanders said at a press conference. "When he talks about ... 'I wish we were in the old days when you could punch somebody in the head.' What do you think that says to his supporters?"

On CNN’s "State of the Union" Sunday, Sanders did acknowledge that some of the protesters were “supporters of mine.” However, he denied that his campaign had orchestrated their demonstration.

But Sanders blamed Trump for the violence at Trump’s rallies.

“Donald Trump has been an incredibly divisive figure day after day,” Sanders said on CBS’ Face the Nation. “His rhetoric is inciting violence."
