Donald Trump on Tuesday claimed the polls showing Democratic rival Hillary Clinton leading are "phony."
During an appearance on Fox News' "Fox & Friends," the GOP nominee said the poll results are "purposely wrong" and the media does not actually interview people for them.
MSNBC's "Morning Joe" released a clip of his comments, in which he said, "I do think a lot of the polls are purposely wrong. I think — I can almost tell you — the people that do it, the media is very dishonest. Extremely dishonest, and I think a lot of polls are phony. I don't even think they interview people. I think they just put out phony numbers."
The real estate mogul has referenced polling methods before. In October, Trump claimed pollsters were over-sampling Democrats to make it appear that he is down in polls, Time reported.
CNN reported on his claim, and interviewed Republican pollster Dan Judy, who said, "Pollsters saw this and we just rolled our eyes."
