GOP presidential candidate Jeb Bush brought in the big guns — his mother, former first lady Barbara Bush — on Friday to promote his campaign, but that led to some teasing from race front-runner Donald Trump, who picked at Bush for needing his "mommy" to fight his race.

ideo message and handwritten letter from Mrs. Bush, which hinted at a jab against Trump by saying "when push comes to shove, people are going to realize Jeb has real solutions, rather than talking about how popular they are, how great they are," reports The Washington Post.

The back and forth came on Friday, the same day Bush criticized the Republican National Committee for disinviting the National Review Magazine as a February debate co-sponsor, telling Fox News that the publication shouldn't be punished for
"telling the truth" about Trump after publishing essays from 22 conservatives criticizing the front-runner.
