Donald Trump bitterly attacked one of his most vocal critics, Sen. Lindsey Graham – blasting his congressional service and military expertise, and calling him a "disgrace," a "nut job" and "one of the dumbest human beings I've ever seen."
At a campaign event Wednesday, the GOP front-runner spent more than 2 minutes berating the South Carolina lawmaker, who dropped out of the GOP presidential primary and now backs Jeb Bush.
The video was posted by
Politico.
"I think Lindsey Graham is a disgrace, and I think you have one of the worst representatives of any representative in the United States, and I don't think he should run," Trump told the South Carolina crowd, which was mostly subdued, but laughed and clapped at two points in the diatribe.
"I don't think he could run for dog catcher in this state and win again. I really don't. Other than that, I think he's wonderful."
He also ripped the former officer in the Air Force Reserve's military expertise.
"He says, 'I know so much,'" Trump mocked. "He knows about the military? I could push him over with a little thimble."
Trump was reacting to Graham's most recent criticism during an interview Wednesday on
Fox News' "America's Newsroom," when he said Trump would make a "terrible commander in chief" and that the Republican Party would get "slaughtered" with him as the nominee, Politico reports.

"I saw him on television this morning, and I think he lost it," Trump said. "He was shaking. The hatred. They say, 'What do you think of Donald Trump? Well, waahhh.' He went crazy. The guy is a nut job."
Trump also berated the senator "one of the dumbest human beings I've ever seen," reminding the hometown crowd of Graham's poor polling prior to his dropping out of the presidential primary contest.
"He ends up at zero [percent]. Zero," Trump said. "Here's a guy running for the presidency — he's at zero. He leaves in disgrace, in my opinion."
