Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump questions why the "mainstream media" has not covered a recent coughing fit by Hillary Clinton.

Trump tweeted:

The Hill reported that on Sept. 5, Clinton had a coughing fit during a public appearance. She then said, "Every time I think about Trump, I get allergic."

The hashtag #HackingHillary became a trending topic on Twitter after the incident, according to The Hill.

Washington Post reporter Chris Cillizza said he believed the focus on Clinton's health could hurt Trump's campaign.

Cillizza called criticism of Clinton's health "a totally ridiculous issue — for lots of reasons."

After listing an excerpt from Clinton''s doctor, Cillizza said, "To believe that something is seriously wrong with Clinton, you have to a) assume her doctor lied and b) that her coughing, which often happens when someone catches a cold or spends a lot of time speaking publicly, is a symptom of her deeper, hidden illness."
