Texas Shooter Purchased 2 Guns at Store After Background Checks

The Texas church shooting suspect bought two of the three recovered guns in San Antonio after background checks, a sporting goods chain said Monday.

One of those guns, a Ruger AR-556 -- a type of AR-15 military-style rifle - was used by alleged mass murderer Devin Kelley, CNN reported.

ATF agent Fred Milanowski said during a news conference Monday that officers recovered the Ruger at the church.

Milanowski said two additional handguns were recovered from the vehicle driven by Kelley — a Glock 9mm and a Ruger .22-caliber.

Milanowski says all three weapons were purchased by the now-deceased suspect.
