Rick Santorum: I'm Taking Some of Rand Paul's Time

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, relegated to the second-tier GOP debate Thursday by Fox Business Network, opted instead to sit this one out, and his absence was noted in the closing statements.

Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum burned up some of his time introducing his sons who are cadets at The Citadel military college in Charleston, South Carolina, where the debate was being held.

After then beginning a lengthy statement on why he is the best Republican to take on Democrat Hillary Clinton, Santorum paused, saying, "I know I'm out of time. I'm going to take some of Rand Paul's time here for a second."
