NBC Poll: Clinton Holds Onto 5-Point National Lead

Hillary Clinton has a 5-point lead over her Republican rival Donald Trump, according to the latest NBC News/SurveyMonkey poll released Tuesday.

The results:

• Clinton: 46 percent;
• Trump: 41 percent;
• Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson: 7 percent;
• Green Party candidate Jill Stein: 3 percent.

In a two-way matchup:

• Clinton: 50 percent;
• Trump: 44 percent.

The poll was conducted online from Oct. 17 to Oct. 23 with a nationwide sample of 32,225 likely voters.

Clinton is also ahead by 5.1 points in an average of several nationwide polls, according to RealClearPolitics.
