Maggie Williams, the Institute of Politics director at Harvard University's prestigious Kennedy School of Government, has joined a team of advisers planning Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton's potential transition to the White House.
The Harvard Crimson reports that Williams will take an unpaid leave of absence until the end of the 2016 calendar year, and says that the leave is temporary.
Williams has had a long history with the Clinton family. She served as Clinton's chief of staff and manager for her first presidential campaign in 2008, and she was also a chief of staff at the Clinton Foundation.
Other names on Clinton's 2016 transition team include: former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm, former Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar, former national security adviser Thomas E. Donolin, and Center for American Progress president Neera Tanden.
