Donald Trump's presidential campaign has been a windfall for CBS, the network's chairman Les Moonves says.
"I've never seen anything like this, and this is going to be a very good year for us. Sorry. It's a terrible thing to say. But, bring it on, Donald. Keep going," Moonves said Monday at a Morgan Stanley conference, according to
The Hollywood Reporter.
"Donald's place in this election is a good thing …There's a lot of money in the marketplace."
Of the explosive 2016 presidential race as a whole, Moonves noted, "It may not be good for America, but its damn good for CBS."
He also referred to the presidential race as a "circus" full of "bomb throwing."
"Man, who would have expected the ride we're all having right now? ... The money's rolling in and this is fun," Moonves said.
The Morgan Stanley Technology, Media & Telecom Conference was held in San Francisco.
