Univision anchor Jorge Ramos, who was temporarily removed from a Donald Trump event on Tuesday night, revealed in June that his daughter, Paola, accepted a position working for the Hillary Clinton campaign, The American Mirror reports.

"A Note From Jorge Ramos" on the Fusion website states:

"As journalists the most important thing we have is our credibility and integrity. We maintain that, in part, through transparency with our audience, our colleagues and our critics. That is why I am disclosing that my daughter, Paola, has accepted a position working with Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign."

"As a father, I am very proud that she has decided to actively participate in our democratic process. I hope that more young people get involved, regardless of political parties or ideological preferences. Our democracy and our future depend on that."

Ramos also stated that his daughter's decision to join the Clinton campaign will not change his duties as a journalist and he "will continue to report with complete independence and ask the tough questions."

This was evident at last night's event in Dubuque, Iowa, when Ramos accused Trump of "spreading hate" with his remarks on immigration. His outbursts, which challenged the presidential hopeful, resulted in security temporarily removing him from the event.

"Go back to Univision," Trump blurted out.

This is not the first time Trump has had a dispute with Univision. In July, Trump sued Univision after the network dropped its coverage of Miss USA and Miss Universe, two pageants owned by the real estate mogul. The Trump Organization said the Univision decision was a "politically motivated attempt" to suppress his freedom of speech.

A Univision spokeswoman said that the "decision to end our business relationship with Mr. Trump was influenced solely by our responsibility to speak up for the community we serve."
