Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush has responded to front-runner Donald Trump's release of his first TV ad, which focused heavily on national security, with an anti-ISIS ad of his own.

Time magazine reports the ad "seems to be trying to Trump Trump."

The new ad will run in New Hampshire starting on Tuesday, an email from the Bush campaign stated, Time reports.

In it, Bush says that as president he will head “a global coalition” to destroy ISIS with “overwhelming force."

"Serious times require serious leadership," the former Florida governor can be heard saying in the ad as dramatic music plays in the background.

"The last seven years under President Obama have taught us that problems do not take care of themselves in the absence of American leadership."

"We are at war with radical Islamic terrorism," Bush later states as the ad continues.

"We have but one choice, to defeat it."
