Hours after the final presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, Democratic strategist and Clinton supporter James Carville responded to the Republican presidential nominee's "rigged" election claim saying there is the possibility that this election could have some fraud.
"Of course, there's going to be some fraud," Carville said on MSNBC Thursday. "I mean, you couldn't have 130 to 140 million people do something perfectly," he added, pointing out that a strong voter turnout was expected on November 8 and that such a massive number would lead to some form of fraud.
His comments come in the wake of Trump's rant that the election is going to be "rigged" against him and that widespread voter fraud existed.
Carville rated Clinton's third debate performance highly, although he believed it was a wash, according to The Daily Caller.
"She might be slightly better off," he said. "At a minimum I think we're faced with same situation we had five hours ago — which is a pretty favorable thing for Hillary and the Democrats going into the election . . . We're taking this puppy into the house right now."
He also predicted that Trump will be a poor loser. "Once you lose an election you become diminished," he said.
"He loses this thing like I suspect is going to happen, he's not going to look good on election night. Will he be able to conduct some kind of guerilla operation and take some people and do some kind of news something? That's possible."
