IBD/TIPP Poll Accurately Predicted Trump Win: 'Not Everyone Got It Wrong'

Investors Business Daily posted an editorial that said while many polls inaccurately predicted the presidential election result, its IBD/TIPP poll did not.

"Not everyone got it wrong," the editorial said.

The poll's final numbers put Trump ahead by 1.6 points in a four-way race. Trump was ahead by about 1 point in the final vote.

The poll results are the fourth presidential election in a row that IBD/TIPP has correctly predicted.

The editorial praised Raghavan Mayur, president of IBD's polling partner Technometrica Market Intelligence, saying, "Mayur might not be a big self-promoter, but he is exceedingly good at his job. It's clear today that few of the many overpaid pundits, pollsters and other so-called experts can make that same claim."
