Rudy Guiliani thinks President Obama should be happy that UN Ambassador Susan Rice removed her name from consideration to be the next Secretary of State because it will prevent an even larger inquiry into what happened on Sept. 11 in Benghazi, Libya.
Susan Rice should have gone beyond just the talking points and explained more about what officials thought happened in the attack, he said on CNN.
“I don’t see that as bad news for the president,” Guiliani said. “A battle to get her confirmed would have offered the perfect opportunity to open up this whole Benghazi thing where no answers have yet been given.”
Guiliani questioned how somebody could expect to become secretary of state if all they do is stick to the official lines without putting more in context an event that clearly was not a spur of the moment response to a movie.
“I didn’t believe [what she said] because, here you had an attack with rocket propelled grenades, mortars - it was very well-prepared,” Guiliani said. “"When she said it, I uttered an expression that I can't say on television. It starts with a B. Bull sh*t. I didn't believe it ... I said, 'is this woman out of her mind? What is she talking about, a spontaneous attack?'"
