Federal officials are looking for a second person of interest in the New York City terror attack, NBC New York reported Wednesday.
The FBI and NYPD want to question Mukhammadzoir Kadirov as he reportedly has information on the attack in Manhattan Tuesday that left eight people dead and nearly a dozen injured when Sayfullo Saipov ran into a crowd of people with a Home Depot rental truck.
Kadirov, 32, is listed on an FBI poster as an Uzbek national with black hair and brown eyes. Saipov, 29, and also from Uzbekistan, carried out the attack according to directions from the Islamic State group, said John Miller, the NYPD's counterterrorism commissioner. He was shot by police at the scene and taken to a hospital.
Saipov has been charged with supporting a terrorist group and with violence of a motor vehicle.
Anyone with information on Kadirov or the attack is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS or the FBI's tips hotline at 1-800-CALL-FBI.
