Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump holds a commanding lead among likely GOP primary voters in New Hampshire, according to a
Suffolk University/Boston Globe poll released Monday.
Here are the results:
- Donald Trump: 22 percent
- Marco Rubio: 11 percent
- Ben Carson: 10 percent
- Ted Cruz: 9 percent
- John Kasich: 9 percent
- Jeb Bush: 8 percent
- Chris Christie: 4 percent
- Carly Fiorina: 4 percent
- Rand Paul: 3 percent
- Remaining Candidates: 2 percent
- Undecided: 18 percent
The survey of 500 likely GOP primary voters across the Granite State was conducted Nov. 17-19, before the controversy over comments Trump allegedly made about registering Muslims in a national database swept the media late last week.
Florida Sen. Marco Rubio gets high marks for favorability among those polled. A press release accompanying the results says, "Rubio is emerging as the Republican alternative to Trump in New Hampshire through a methodical move into second place.
"Rubio led in voters' approval, with a 64 percent favorable — 22 percent unfavorable rating," the release states.
However, Trump doubled Rubio, 31 percent to 16 percent, when those polled were asked which candidate had the best chance of beating the Democrat nominee next November.
All other candidates were stuck in single digits on that question.
