Trump: 'Fire and Fury' Author 'Mentally Deranged'

President Donald Trump called author Michael Wolff, “mentally deranged” and claimed the news media was promoting his book, “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House.”

"So much Fake News is being reported. They don’t even try to get it right, or correct it when they are wrong. They promote the Fake Book of a mentally deranged author, who knowingly writes false information. The Mainstream Media is crazed that WE won the election!" Trump said in a tweet.

Wolff’s tell-all book paints a poor picture of Trump and the early days of his administration. It was originally slated to be released last Monday, but demand was so high for the book it was released three days early.

Trump and his supporters have criticized the book immensely and tried to discredit Wolff, but the author has stuck to his story and said everything in his book is true.
