Texas Sen. Ted Cruz launched a new ad on Thursday titled, "Conservative Anonymous," but according to
Politico, the Cruz campaign has already pulled the 30-second spot after it was revealed that one of the actresses in the video has also been spotted in softcore porn films.
The segment shows a group therapy session where conservative voters discuss being double-crossed by Sen. Marco Rubio.
"Maybe you should vote for more than just a pretty face next time," the woman, played by Amy Lindsay, tells another group member.
After the discovery, the video was quickly deleted from YouTube Thursday night and Cruz's communications director Rick Tyler told Politico in a statement:
"Unfortunately, she was not vetted by the casting company. Had the campaign known of her full filmography, we obviously would not have let her appear in the ad. The campaign is taking the ad down and will replace it with a different commercial."
Lindsay's filmography includes titles such as "Animal Lust," "Co-Ed Confidential" and "Carnal Wishes."
Lindsay later took to Twitter to express her disappointment on the issue:
According to Buzzfeed News, since pulling the ad, Lindsay has yet to decide who she will be voting for.
