Hillary Clinton launched a new ad Tuesday attacking Donald Trump for his "continued disrespect for veterans and military families," ABC News reported.
The ad, which plays fragments of Trump's speeches, features images of injured veterans. It commences with Trump's reference to John McCain as a "war hero because he was captured," and adds, "I like people that weren't captured."
The snippet also shows footage where Trump was asked what sacrifices he's made for his country, to which he replied, "I think I've made a lot of sacrifices," the report stated.
Clinton's campaign website also states she'll "make the Veterans Health Administration [VA] a seamless partner in health care. She does not believe that privatization will solve the problems that the VA is facing."
The launch of the ad comes days before Clinton and her running mate Tim Kaine are scheduled to speak about national security.
Clinton will address a rally at the University of South Florida in Tampa, while Kaine will conduct "a major national security address," in North Carolina's Wilmington.
Both the Republican and Democrat presidential nominees will participate in the Commander-in-Chief forum sponsored by Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America in New York City on Wednesday, which is touted as their first joint event of the general election campaign.
