Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for the first time Sunday night called on Michigan's Republican Gov. Rick Snyder to resign over the Flint water crisis.
"I agree the governor should resign or be recalled, and we should support the efforts of citizens attempting to achieve that. But that is not enough," Clinton said during Sunday's Democratic presidential debate on CNN.
But one hour earlier, Mediaite notes, http://www.mediaite.com/tv/hillary-calls-for-michigan-govs-resignation-an-hour-after-her-spox-slammed-bernie-for-same/ Clinton's spokesman Brian Fallon was pointing out how she had not done so the way Sanders has.
"I think that, in a nutshell, shows the difference in their two approaches," Fallon said. "If the governor stepped down tomorrow, would that make a difference in the everyday lives of the people who are drinking contaminated water who can’t take showers, who can’t brush their teeth? What Hillary Clinton is doing is figuring out a way to make a difference."
