Backing Hillary Clinton, Democratic Sen. Chris Coons said Wednesday that reopening investigation into the private emails scandal will not lead to anything.
"I'm confident that this will amount to nothing," said Coons on CNN's "New Day" program.
Coons stated that investigations into new set of emails were incomplete and there could be a possibility of duplication or presence of Clinton's personal correspondence.
"We really don't know much about it and apparently neither does Director Comey," Coons said of FBI chief James Comey, emphasizing that people can't claim that "they know something explosive has been found."
"Ultimately voters who are going to the polls today this week and up to next Tuesday will be making up their minds on which of these candidates has a stronger vision for our future," he added.
Meanwhile, the Justice Department has obtained a warrant that has granted it permission to begin searching the computer which is supposedly contains thousands of newly found emails of top Clinton aide Huma Abedin, according to CNN.
