At the National Prayer Breakfast last week, President Trump rightly declared that "America stands with all people suffering oppression and religious persecution."
In particular, we must all stand against the global persecution of Christians. A World Watch List produced by Open Doors USA has identified 50 nations in which a total of 215 million believers in Christ currently face "heavy persecution."
To lift up these victims and assist the many individuals and organizations courageously working to do that, a new, informal team — of which I am proud to be a part — has launched the Save the Persecuted Christians Coalition. It seeks to mobilize the public to action — both for the purpose of assisting those doing vital humanitarian relief in the field and to expose and to hold accountable those responsible for the persecution.
