Secretary of State John Kerry recently lied that he and President Obama were prepared to walk away from a bad deal with Iran. How do we know?
Aside from the fact that his lips were moving — a telltale sign — White House officials yesterday urged 100 leftist activists to lobby for the deal they described as the president’s “signature foreign policy accomplishment.” He isn’t going to walk away from that.
The lobbying campaign is being led by the Ploughshares Fund, a foundation that has put millions behind its efforts to “rid the world of nuclear weapons.” Its support for a deal that will not only ensure Iran gets the bomb, but so do a host of other countries in the region, proves that the real objective of the radical left has always been to rid the world of American nuclear weapons, not those in the hands of her enemies.
President Obama has demonstrated that he will do anything to get an agreement with Iran. So will his political allies. The American people don’t want a bad deal and Congress must reject the one that’s coming.
