On the eve of his first State of the Union address, President Trump’s administration is expected to unveil the details of his new immigration policy. Breitbart’s Neal Munro reports that a leaked copy shows it’ll look a lot like past "comprehensive" deals: amnesty up front, border security and fundamental reforms later.
Hard experience with such deals suggests that "later" will never come. Indeed, Democrats have become ever-more-brazen about keeping the borders insecure, perpetuating chain migration and the diversity lottery and blocking the requirement for businesses to use the E-Verify system to prevent the hiring of illegal aliens, all for a very simple reason: Doing so perpetuates the "fundamental transformation" of our electorate, inevitably guaranteeing a permanent Democratic majority.
Here’s a prediction: That majority will be evident in the House this fall as alienated Republican voters stay home and a presidential impeachment looms.Frank Gaffney, Jr. is president of the Center for Security Policy (CSP), a columnist for The Washington Times, and host of the nationally syndicated program, Secure Freedom Radio.
