Hungry visitors traveling to Myrtle Beach have so much to choose from when it comes to munchies or fine dining. Travel tips to South Carolina's vacation spot always entail stops at some of the best restaurants on the East Coast.

Here are seven places food-loving travelers may enjoy during a visit to Myrtle Beach:

1. "Where to eat with your buddies" was how Golf Magazine described Carolina Roadhouse, whose specialties include the foot-long Killer Dog topped with fries, cheese, onions and homemade chili. Racks of ribs, seafood platters and salads also highlight this favorite eatery for many locals and tourists. Cocktails, wine and beer are available from a wrap-around bar.

2. Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville at Broadway on the beach naturally has its famous "Cheeseburger in Paradise," but also has its Jimmy's Jammin' Jambalaya, landshark lager fish and chips, crispy coconut shrimp and seafood mac and cheese. The restaurant is entertaining for the whole family.

3. Fresh seafood and steak dishes are main showcases at Croissants Bistro & Bakery. The restaurant features breakfast, brunch, homemade soups and sandwiches for lunch, and casual fine dining surroundings. Freshly baked breads, cookies, muffins, cakes and pies come from the bakery that also caters for special events.

4. Dagwood's Deli is just as it sounds with the featured triple-decker Bumstead's Club with ham, turkey, bacon and Swiss. Patrons may also choose from corned beef, roast beef, pastrami, chicken and tuna salad. Dagwood's Dipper includes sliced turkey and melted Swiss cheese on a sub roll with homemade dressing.

6. The Toscana Italian Bistro is another favorite by reviewers on TripAdvisor. The great Italian food includes veal dishes and homemade pasta served with homemade garlic bread. A friendly staff adds to the intimate atmosphere. The taste of Italy is heightened by the beer, wine and champagne served.

7. The Dead Dog Saloon on Murrells Inlet promotes "seafood, steaks and sassy stuff." The family restaurant is one of the greatest travel tips for Myrtle Beach because it has spectacular views of the inlet for lunch and dinner. Enjoy homemade soups, burgers and other sandwiches for lunch or dinner. Steaks, ribs, salmon and scallops are also featured.
