Having served as a minister, professor, speaker and advocate for families, Tony Campolo has received quite a bit of media attention. His life and career has been reported on extensively, However, here are several facts that you may not have known about him:

1. Campolo is a published author. While his own website reports that Campolo has published more than 35 books, Ranker reports that Campolo is credited with 40 books.

2. The titles of two of his books include, "Is Jesus a Democrat or a Republican" and "The Kingdom of God is a Party."

3. Campolo appeared on "The Colbert Report" where he bantered back and forth with the host on a wide variety of topics.

4. Campolo's trademark saying is, "It's Friday, but Sunday's coming." While that may be well known about him, many people may not know what it means. According to his website, it means that only by, "surrendering to Christ enables individuals to have their personal, spiritual and psychological needs met. It goes on to point out that being yielded to Christ is to be part of a movement to change the world into the world that ought to be. 5. During a visit to Hawaii, Campolo went to a diner at 3:30 a.m. While there, he met a woman named Agnes, a 39-year-old prostitute who announced that her birthday was the following day and that she had never had a birthday party before. Working with the husband and wife owners of the diner, who described Agnes as a kind person, they arranged for a birthday party for her. Campolo says in his speech that the diner was filled with, "wall-to-wall prostitutes … and me."

6. When asked by a fan if Campolo was on Facebook, he responded with, "My dear, these hands cannot operate even a keyboard." Four years later, Campolo has almost 38,000 followers on Twitter and nearly 12,000 Facebook fans.
